The decision for a new tracking solution has paid off for the Johannes Kepler University Linz.

This solution raises the quality of lecture recordings and live online events to a new level: without additional staff and at significantly lower costs, the high quality can be maintained permanently, even with different users.

Challenge accepted: The challenge at universities is to record the lecture in such a way that the elements relevant to the students always remain in the picture, although these can change from lecture to lecture. This can be the lecturer himself, his facial expressions and gestures, which make the recording more lively, but often it is also the blackboard image, which must be clearly visible.

After an extensive test with a demo system, the TrackingMaster in combination with Panasonic cameras was finally chosen.

“We are delighted that the combination of TrackingMaster and PTZ AW-UE40 will enable us to make our contribution to high-quality and contemporary teaching and to expand this further,” says Hilmar Salac, Business Development Manager Higher Education at Panasonic.

There are currently plans to equip four more rooms at the university with this combination this year.
